Poseidon turns positioning into damage: enemies you shove take extra damage when they slam into walls, and his boons also grant bonus loot. Knockback doubles as crowd control.

Payoff to aim for

Poseidon has knockback Duos with other gods and a Legendary for committing to him. Exact Duo and Legendary names are flagged to verify, so aim for the archetype: a Duo that adds damage or a second effect to knocked-back enemies, or Poseidon’s Legendary once you hold enough of his boons. Take it when your gods line up.

Keepsake

Poseidon’s keepsake makes his boons appear early so you find your knockback boon fast. It also leans into the bonus-loot theme.
Swap to a defensive keepsake at a region transition if survival is shaky.

Do this in order

Equip Poseidon’s keepsake to find a knockback boon early.
Add knockback to your main damage action.
Take Athena Deflect for defense.
Pom your knockback boon and pick up his loot boons.
Fight near walls so knockback deals its slam damage.
If a knockback Duo or the Poseidon Legendary is offered and your gods line up, take it.

Watch out for

In open arenas with no walls, the slam damage falls off. Use the edges.
Knockback can push enemies out of reach of your other attacks. Watch your spacing.
Do not split into a second damage source. Pom knockback instead.
Skipping defense. Knockback is crowd control, not survival.
