Chapter and Map Unlocks
The unlock path on one page: three chapters, how map gates actually work, and the known Chapter 2 unlock bug.
At a glance
| The spine | Hero level and gold-bought stat upgrades, gated by chapters |
| Chapters | 3 as of June 2026, with new content shipping roughly monthly |
| Main XP source | Quests. Follow them; they drive hero level and the unlocks. |
| Gate style | Map gates combine quest tasks, upgrade milestones, and an area boss kill |
Chapter order
| Order | Chapter | Theme | Gate to enter |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Chapter 1 | Fantasy realm. “Lost Sanctuary” is a documented area name. | Start of game |
| 2 | Chapter 2 | Not reliably documented | Clear all of Chapter 1: maps, quests, and the final boss |
| 3 | Chapter 3 | Modern city | Clear all of Chapter 2 |
There is no official progression table. The number of maps per chapter, map names beyond Lost Sanctuary, and level or power requirements per gate are not documented anywhere reliable, so this page does not list them.
How a map gate works (player-reported)
The one documented example, for unlocking the second map:
- Forge weapons up to level 6.
- Clear the Tower of Challenge to floor 12.
- A yellow icon appears above the last boss’s head.
- Kill that boss while the icon shows. The next map unlocks.
The pattern to take from it: gates are not just the boss. Quest tasks, weapon forging, and the Tower of Challenge can all be prerequisites, so do not ignore the side systems.
Stuck at a gate? Do this in order
- Finish every open quest. Quests are the main XP source and completing the given tasks is what opens the next map and chapter.
- Farm gold from field mobs and buy stat upgrades. Chapter-end bosses are stat checks, not skill checks.
- Push weapon forging and the Tower of Challenge; both are explicit prerequisites for at least one map unlock.
- Fight the boss hit-and-run: bait the telegraphed attack, hit during the recovery window, back out of range, and keep the camera on the boss.
Level anecdotes (player-reported, not tuning data)
| Point in the game | Reported hero level |
|---|---|
| Entering Chapter 2 | Around 105 |
| Late Chapter 2 | Around 215 |
| Waiting at the Chapter 3 gate | Around 327 |
Watch out for
- A Chapter 2 unlock bug: some players report completing Chapter 1 and the gate still not opening. It was reported unresolved in community Q&A.
- Chapter-end bosses are major grind walls. The intended answer is farming gold for upgrades, not mechanical play.
- An internet connection is required to play (player-reported, consistent with official patch notes).
