The whole gated path on one page. Zones, the material tier they hold, and what each tier unlocks, from character creation to the Landsraad endgame.

The gated path
Do it in this order. Each zone’s material gates the vehicle and gear you need for the next.

Vehicle unlocks by tier

Do this in order
- Create your character. Pick your mentor deliberately (Mentat is a common first pick); homeworld and caste are mostly flavor.
- Do the Zantara journey tasks: first base, water from flowers and blood, starting gear, and a Sandbike.
- Follow the main quest through Hagga Basin South. Grab the early uniques (Aren’s Vengeance, Hollower Stillsuit, Kaleff’s Drinker, Emperor’s Wings Mk1).
- Move north to Vermillius Gap for Iron, then Hagga Rift and Jabal Eifrit for Steel and the Buggy.
- Reach Eastern Shield Wall for Aluminum, then research the Scout Ornithopter for flight.
- Push Mysa Tarill and Sheol for Duraluminum and advanced components.
- Enter the Deep Desert for Tier 6 Plastanium, spice, and the PvPvE loop. Extract before the weekly reset.
- Join a guild and work the Landsraad for weekly House tasks and decrees.
Watch out for
- Sandworms are invincible and drawn to vibration. A worm kill is instant death and deletes everything you carry, vehicle included. Stay on rock.
- Do not build at spawn or over-invest in an early base. You relocate as you climb.
- Hoard water. It crafts Iron and Steel, not just fills your meter.
- Shielded enemies resist firearms. Headshot the unshielded first, then melee the shielded.
- The Deep Desert resets weekly (reported Tuesday), wiping structures and loot.
